A Near Matching Pair of Mid Century Oak Air Ministry Bedside tables. From 1949 & 1954.
 
These were originally made for the Air Ministry in 1949 & 1954.
 
The 1949 bedside table was made by LEBETKIN Products Ltd. and bears the makers mark, date and  AM (Air Ministry)symbol to the underside.
The other has an indistinguishable makers mark to the underside along with the  George VI  crest  and Air Ministry 21b/1916 Military Standard Code.
 
These solid Oak bedside tables are very scare and even more scarce as a near matching pair. These stand as a true testament to simple and functional deign which are built to withstand the test of time.
 
They both feature dovetail joints, an integrated shelf and a lower shelf. In overall good condition with patina and battle scars from their storied past.
